Chest pains send O'Day to hospital

AUSTIN — District 29 State Representative Mike O’Day was showing improvement at a Houston hospital Tuesday after suffering chest pains late Sunday evening, his capital office staff reported.
The Pearland state representative, whose district includes Matagorda County, “is doing exceptionally well today after receiving one stent for a partially blocked artery,” a press release from his staff reported Tuesday afternoon.
“Having no prior history of any cardiac problems, Mike is quoted as saying ‘It was quite a surprise,’”
