GRANBURY, Texas -- A man suspected of attacking a real estate agent in Missouri was arrested Saturday in North Texas, authorities said.
Deputies said Mathew Wilson, 48, was looking at pricey homes with another real estate agent near Granbury when he was arrested.
While the Texas real estate agent was unharmed, officials said the agent in the attack in Weldon Spring, Miss., was handcuffed in the basement of a home, sexually assaulted and robbed.
Authorities said they found knives, duct tape, handcuffs, a BB gun and a collection of realtor business cards in Wilson's car.
The U.S. Marshal's office traced Wilson to Texas after he made a credit card purchase at a Hood County Wal-Mart store, officials said. After a search of area hotels, local authorities said they spotted Wilson's vehicle in the parking lot of a Keller Williams real estate agency at about 4:30 p.m.
Employees inside the agency directed police to the neighborhood where the agent had taken the man to view houses, authorities said.
Missouri authorities have charged Wilson with armed robbery and assault.
