La Marque Edges Out Pearland
The Pearland Oilers Football team suffered a tough loss on Friday, Sept. 21, 2007 to the La Marque Cougars in a very tight game. The final score was 6-3. The Pearland Oilers where held to only a 170 total yards. Pearland had a chance to win the game late, but the Cougars held tough to defending there Class 4A Division II championship. The Cougars improved their record to 4-0 in what was a physical contest. The Pearland Oilers record now stands at 3-1.
