As many as 129 families affected by the 2005 storms still live in the Brazoria county
First of all welcome to Brazoria County.
I was reading a story in The Facts about how we are still paying for more than 120 families displaced by the storms of 2005. My question is WHY??? Have you ever thought about getting a job and becoming a part of our community and a part of the tax base instead of being the tax base??? I would like to say "thank you" to the Brazoria County Commissioners Court for doing the right thing and saying no to the Federal Government. The Disaster Housing Assistance Program not taken on by commissioners is a rent and personal assistance subsidy plan involving the two federal agencies and the Brazoria County Housing Authority. You can read the entire story at "County won’t foot bill for evacuees".
